Get hands-on with snakes, lizards, and other Aussie animals. Assist with feeding, enrichment, and behind-the-scenes ranger tasks.

Participants will be supervised at all times by a designated Paradise Country team member
Parents/guardians not permitted unless medication is needed. Please inform staff at the start of the Program.

Program Details
9:00am – 2:00pm
Become Save a Mate Rangers for the day (ages 6–13).
Ranger Duties
Help with feeding & enrichment plus meet the wildlife.
Fuel with a View
Morning Tea & Lunch at the Farmhouse Restaurant provided.
Keepsakes
Rangers will receive a printed snake photo & a Save a Mate cap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are parents or guardians able to observe?
Due to the behind the scenes nature of this program, family and friends are unable to join the participant as observers. If you would prefer to stay on site for the duration of the program please purchase a valid pass to enter the park.
How many children participate?
There are a maximum of 10 children per program.
What is the age limit?
Save a Mate Ranger program is for children aged 6-13 years old.
What is the duration of the program?
Save a Mate Ranger runs from 9am to 2pm, 5 hours in total.
Where is the drop off and pick up location?
A Paradise Country supervisor will collect all participants from the Homestead at front entry.
What do I wear?
As the day will be physical and hands-on with the animals we kindly request participants wear supportive enclosed footwear. We suggest participants wear long comfortable pants and long sleeves however this is not essential. No open toe footwear.
